The Tea House
A quiet tea ceremony for one. Your traveller prepares matcha step by step: warming the bowl, whisking the tea and drinking it in three slow sips. Follow each movement with your attention. About two and a half minutes.
Tidewater Steps
Sit at the top of the steps with seven singing bowls before you and the sea beyond. Your traveller strikes the bowls one by one while the waves keep time. Headphones help.
Cedar Hollow
Lie on the resting stone beneath the old cedars. A soft light moves slowly through the body, from the feet to the crown, and you follow it with your attention.
Lantern Terrace
Three things from today you are grateful for, large or small. Write them here if you like, or simply hold them in mind. Each becomes a lantern you let go over the sea.
What you write is kept only on this device.
The Labyrinth
Your traveller walks the single winding path slowly, one breath to every few steps, turning with each circuit until the path reaches the centre. You can rest at the centre, or walk all the way back out.
Your Garden
Veil Falls
Sit on the ledge behind the waterfall, hidden from the world by a curtain of falling water. A practice of listening and letting go: each thought is carried down with the water and away. Headphones help.
The Hot Spring
Settle into the warm rock pool with the steam rising round you. You are guided to tense and release each part of the body in turn, letting the tension melt into the water.
Star Hill
Lie on the flat stone in the middle of the ring and look up. If it is daytime, the sky slips into night as you settle, the stars come out and shooting stars cross the sky. At the end, the dawn returns.
The Lighthouse
Climb to the lantern gallery and stand at the rail high above the sea. Breathe in as the light turns towards the land, and out as it sweeps away over the water.
